Let the Pre-School Begin!!!!

I say, "Smile, Lil" ...and these are a few of the faces she does for me.

A total ham.

All the time!

Really, she is a very happy kid.

I swear.
Now she starts putting on the show ...
What a dream girl.

A dream day for her to be starting at such a fantastic pre-school.
"Go, Louisville!!!!"  is what she is cheering!

We love living here.

Just way too far from Auntie Mom & family ... but that's a different post about how my heart is breaking for my BFF.

Making herself right at home as soon as we got into her classroom.

New friends .... Teegan (from China!) and Elizabeth.

Go, Lily!!!!

I love you & thank God for the treasure that you & the joy you bring to my heart EVERY SINGLE DAY!

What a gift to be living life here in Kentucky out of a hospital!

Happy Day #1 of pre-school!!!!

Kentucky State Fair

Girls loved the animals ... we saw it all!
Hannah jumping in front of Lily for pictures.
So much for a picture of the girls together in front of the cow.
Lily loved the rides!!!

Especially the boat ... she drove the boat "like Uncle" :-)
State police had a bike area set up for the little kids .. teaching them about red light, green light, stop signs, etc.

Kitty cats .. and Lily making silly faces!
By about 4pm Lily fell asleep in the stroller.
But woke up in time for dinner ...

A great day at the fair.  I am sure it will be a family tradition every August.

All God's best from KY!

This Week in Pictures

Hannah rocked the tights, glitter skirt & tie-dye shirt :-)

We had massive fog one morning and could barely see down the street as we waited for the bus.
Lily cracked us all up ... as usual!!!!  We were laughing because she had been pretending to be asleep on the couch!
The girls rode horses for the first time since we moved to KY.
Hannah got to know her new buddy, "Bo", from the stables 2 miles from our house.
Lily rode on "No More" & had a great time.
Lily especially liked the trotting part.  Not surprising at all.  She & Hannah are so similar.  The faster, the better!!!
Lily, No More & her wonderful sweet instructor ... a very fun afternoon!!!
Hannah bringing Bo back to the stable.
And what the girls loved the most at the stables was Callie, the pig.

Lovely.

Makes me think of lunch right after church on Easter Sunday.
Lily & I met up with some other moms for play time at an indoor gym area.  Very fun watching Lily climb all over & discover!
Another mom offered to take our picture.  Look, I have on make-up & I actually left the ponytail holder at home -- a first since we got to KY.  So glad this moment was documented!!!
Lily had fun driving the car all over the place.  She was very good about taking turns with the other kids & waiting patiently for her next turn.
And we hung out a lot in the backyard area playing, doing stuff & having fun.  This is the first week since we moved here that it is has not been blazing hot.  What a summer we have had ... humid, humid, humid!!!  It has been a nice week getting to know my outside deck & spend time with Lily outside during the day!

We are blessed.

I am thankful.

Every day without my daughter attached to an IV pole is a total blessing.

To the Zoo!!!

Lily & I went to the zoo this morning to see "if the animals were awake".

They were.

Near the Gorillas we met another mom with 2 kids from China and we ended up spending an hour walking the kids around the zoo together & visiting.

Very nice.

I told her I am in recovery.

Not from drugs or alcohol.

Just from life.  The life that happened after we got home from China with Lily.

Today was so fun to follow Lily around the zoo.  Let her lead the way and even have her read the map to tell me where we were going.  Not kidding.

She dressed herself this morning & came out of her room with a red skirt and a pink & yellow top and said "its matching".

Sure, Lil.

Off we went & had a great day just being together.  What a privilege & a joy to be mom to this precious pumpkin!!!

Please Make Note: Lily Loves Band-Aids

This morning Lily had one thing in mind: Go to the Germ Capital of the World.

So, you guessed it, we went to Chuck E Cheese.  Just me, Lil & a coupon for more tokens than she could ever have used in one visit!

Before we left the house Lily had a little party with her band-aids (she has her own boxes of them because she loves them so much).

Oh, she had a ball with those band-aids.

Now, don't worry when you see the pictures, she is not injured.  She is just obsessed and I wasn't about to make her take off all those band-aids for anything.

We had a great day together ...and of course, took a nap together before Hannah got home from school.  What a good life right now!!!
