Our hearts break for the loss of our friend from the hospital .. Hannah's friend, Jacob.
He fought so hard for over half of his life against this monster called Leukemia.
Jacob, you will always be remembered ... for the laughs, the fun in the hallway, ringing in New Year 2009 across the hall from each other and hearing you call "Mommy!" when she visited with anyone for too long.
Your Kaiser family will never forget you!

How sad it is to learn about Jacob... I felt the same about Daniel :-(
I have followed your blog since the day I learned about Hannah's condition--I don't remember how I did...I am sure through another blog. And ever since that day, over a year ago, I have prayed for your daughter and your entire family. Your courage, struggles and openness made me understand so much and appreciate even more what the family I tried to help went through. Donating blood marrow and adopting our daughter gave me the desire to become a nurse, and now I am back to school-at almost 40-to earn a nursing degree!
Even though we don't know each other, or might never met, you will always hold a special place in my heart.
